Job summary

Liebherr-Australia Pty Ltd seeks a Site Fitter for the Goonyella Mine site in the Mackay region. You will diagnose and repair equipment faults, inspect plant, liaise for spare parts, and provide expert reporting to customers on a 7-on 7-off, permanent day shift roster.

Applicants should hold a Certificate III in Engineering Mechanical, have high-risk licences, and strong troubleshooting and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Engineering Mechanical required.
• Liebherr 9800 experience advantageous.
• High Risk Licences LF, DG, EWP and Working at Heights preferred.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong troubleshooting ability.
• Sound Microsoft Office skills.

Job description

An exciting opportunity has become available for a motivated Site Fitter based at BUMA Goonyella Mine site. Reporting through to the Customer Support Manager, you will be responsible for the provision of safe, effective, and timely product and technical support services and advice to the Division’s customers. In addition, the Site Fitter is responsible for the effective management of customer relationships at site level. This will be a 7on 7 off, permanent day shift only roster.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose & repair equipment faults in a timely manner.
• Inspect plant and equipment for conformity
• Liaise and request required spare parts and parts planning
• Diagnose faults of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical components
• Repairs and Servicing of equipment
• Provide expert reporting and advice to customers

About You

• Certificate III in Engineering Mechanical
• Liebherr 9800 experience is advantageous
• High Risk Licence LF, DG, EWP & Working at Heights preferred
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong aptitude for troubleshooting
• Sound Microsoft Office skills
