Job summary

6Points is seeking a Site Engineer - Wetland to support a major transport infrastructure project in South East Queensland. You will provide field engineering with a focus on environmental controls, hydraulic levels and construction quality.

Key responsibilities include coordinating survey/set-out, preparing work packs and ITPs for earthworks and drainage, and verifying permits, dewatering controls, and hold points. Relocation packages are on offer.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil, environmental, water or construction engineering.
• 2–5 years' site engineering experience in earthworks, drainage, water or environmentally sensitive construction.
• Current construction induction card and valid driver’s licence.
• Ability to obtain project-specific rail, site and medical competencies.
• Contractor-side experience with work packs, RFIs, ITPs, subcontractor coordination and progress measurement.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate survey and set-out for excavation profiles, benches, inlets, outlets, liners and maintenance access.
• Prepare work packs and ITPs for earthworks, drainage structures, soil placement, erosion controls and revegetation.
• Verify environmental permits, weather readiness, dewatering controls and hold points.
• Track quantities, material movements, test results and establishment records.
• Support wetland commissioning, defect close-out and transition to monitoring.

A major transport infrastructure project (valued at more than $1 billion) is underway across South East Queensland, delivering complex rail, station and civil works. Having won numerous major projects in Queensland in the past 12 months, the head contractor is seeking a Site Engineer - Wetland to provide field engineering support for wetland works, with close attention to environmental controls, hydraulic levels and construction quality.

What We're Looking For
