Job summary

ACCIONA is delivering Western Harbour Tunnel – Stage 2 in Sydney, seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join the project delivery team. The role focuses on safe, high-quality construction across a major tunnel and road scheme, with emphasis on planning, cost control, and coordination.

The successful candidate will have a tertiary Civil Engineering qualification, proven underground construction experience, and strong communication skills to liaise with clients and project teams on site in

Qualifications

Must have prior experience in a similar civil engineering role.
Proven knowledge of construction processes and safety/quality management systems.
Ability to manage costs, productivity, and reporting requirements.
Excellent communication and liaison skills with clients, supervisors, and project teams.

Responsibilities

Prepare and manage safety, construction, and quality documentation (SWMS, ITPs, procedures, permits).
Administer contract works ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
Manage permits, approvals, and ensure daily site activities align with design and specifications.
Support planning, execution, and handover of project deliverables within time, cost, and quality targets.
Assist with procurement, purchase orders, and material traceability.
Record and report daily progress, delays, variations, and subcontractor activities.
