Job summary

Concentis is seeking a Project Engineer to join our established civil contractor team operating across the Cloncurry / Mt Isa region. Whether you are an experienced Project Engineer or a developing professional stepping into a Junior Project Manager role, this position offers mentorship, ownership and varied civil projects.

You will work with clients, subcontractors and internal teams, planning, coordinating and delivering projects with support from an experienced team.

You will join an established civil contractor delivering a diverse range of projects across local government, TMR, mining and private developments throughout the Cloncurry / Mt Isa region. Whether you are an experienced Project Engineer ready for your next challenge or a developing professional looking to step into a Junior Project Manager role, this is an opportunity to build your career with a contractor that values practical experience, initiative and the right attitude.

Working on the contractor side, you will be involved in the delivery of varied civil construction projects, gaining exposure to the commercial and operational realities of running successful jobs. You will work closely with clients, subcontractors and internal teams, with the opportunity to take ownership, broaden your project delivery experience and develop your capabilities with the support of an experienced team.

This is a permanent, full-time opportunity offering FIFO or residential arrangements, with flexible roster options including 8:6, 2:1 or a roster tailored to suit the right candidate. You will receive a base salary of $120k-$160k, plus site uplift and a bonus structure, along with five weeks of annual leave. Accommodation and meals are provided or arranged, with a meal allowance available where camp meals are not included. The team is looking for someone they can invest in, mentor and develop for the long term.

• You have a background in civil engineering, construction or project delivery.
• You bring practical experience or exposure to civil construction projects.
• You understand, or are keen to develop an understanding of, project costs and commercial delivery.
• You are adaptable, solutions-focused and comfortable taking ownership.
• You communicate effectively and build strong working relationships.
• You are willing to learn, take on new challenges and develop your capabilities.
• Experience with CivilPro will be highly regarded.
• You can provide a strong professional reference from someone you have worked with.
• You are open to FIFO or residential arrangements in the Cloncurry / Mt Isa region.
