Job summary

Downer is seeking a Site Engineer to support delivery of capital water and wastewater projects across the Sunshine Coast region, including Noosa on-site work. You will contribute to planning, execution, and stakeholder coordination with a robust pipeline of local opportunities.

The role involves collaborating with planning, scheduling, procurement, estimating, QA, and safety teams to ensure timely, safe, and cost-effective delivery of infrastructure assets.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of project delivery experience in water and/or wastewater.
• Strong track record of delivering quality outcomes in project delivery.
• Degree in civil or mechanical engineering.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Attend planning visits and provide constructability and delivery guidance.
• Support Scheduling, Cost Controls, QA and Safety teams in delivering plans.
• Provide technical advice and address issues to maintain time, cost, quality and safety targets.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors and colleagues.

The opportunity

We are looking for a Site Engineer to assist with the delivery of projects across capital water and wastewater infrastructure including valves, hydrants, water pump stations, network renewals, water main replacements and more across the Sunshine Coast region.

This role is located in the Sunshine Coast Maroochydore office and when the project team starts you will be site based in Noosa.

What you'll do

• Attend planning visits and concept reviews to advise on constructability and delivery across time, cost, safety and quality outcomes
• Support Scheduling, Cost Controls, Community Engagement, Procurement, Estimating, Quality Assurance and Safety teams in developing delivery plans
• Provide technical advice and expertise throughout project delivery phase, promptly addressing any issues and problem-solve to maintain time, cost, quality and safety targets
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, clients, subcontractors and colleagues

What we're looking for
