Job summary

Salmon Earthmoving, part of the Sime Darby Industrial Group, is seeking qualified Diesel Fitters to join our team in the Bowen Basin. You will start in our Nebo workshop on a 7/7 roster and transition to a dedicated site, maintaining and repairing our fleet to ensure optimal performance.

Successful candidates will have CAT equipment experience, relevant certifications, and a strong commitment to safety. Camp accommodation and meals are provided on site, with FIFO options depending on home

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology or Engineering (Mechanical) or equivalent.
• Experience working on CAT equipment and familiarity with CAT diagnostic systems (highly desirable).
• RII Certified: EWP, Working at Heights, and Light Vehicle/Equipment Testing & Operations (highly desirable).
• Current & valid Drivers Licence.
• A ann do attitude and ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular maintenance on diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems of heavy equipment.
• Diagnose faults and troubleshoot mechanical issues promptly.
• Repair and replace faulty parts as necessary.
• Perform scheduled servicing to prevent downtime.
• Adhere to safety protocols and comply with industry regulations.
