Job summary

Charterhouse is seeking an experienced Site Delivery Manager to oversee OHW renewal across Sydney rail networks. The role requires travel to multiple sites, with most work in Western Suburbs and some work-from-home flexibility.

The position calls for hands-on delivery, safety leadership, and coordination with project stakeholders to ensure on-time, compliant construction activities. Occasional after-hours work and a current Class C driving licence are expected.

• Experience delivering OHW renewal safely and in compliance with relevant standards.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders across construction sites.
• Proven track record of onsite safety leadership and risk mitigation.

Responsibilities

• Experience delivering OHW renewal safely.
• Maintain regular attendance in Western Sydney to collaborate with stakeholders and support activities.
• Attend project sites as required based on project stage and possession access.
• Manage and control construction works and worksites as Principal Contractor representative.
• Implement risk-mitigated safety culture based construction management processes across sites and sub-contractors.
• Ensure performance, quality and environmental standards are met per scope and objectives.
• Direct delivery of construction projects to meet allocated objectives and deliverables.
• Manage site interfaces with adjacent construction works.
• Provide technical and construction methodology advice for safe and cost-effective delivery.
• Execute safety responsibilities in line with SMS requirements SMS-02-RG-3058.
• Work outside normal hours, including night shifts, weekends and public holidays.

Site Delivery Manager (Rail OHW Renewal)We're seeking an experienced Delivery Manager to support the renewal of Overhead Wiring across Sydney-based rail networks. The role will require travel to various sites across Sydney, but will mostly be based within Sydney's Western Suburbs, with some working from home flexibility.

• Circa $1000 - $1200 day rate, additional for weekends/public holidays

About the Role

• Managing and experienced in the safe delivery of OHW renewal.


• Maintain regular attendance in Western Sydney to facilitate collaboration with project stakeholders and support project activities.


• Attend project sites as required to support assigned projects, with the frequency of attendance dependent on project stage, delivery requirements, and possession access.


• Manage and control construction works and the associated worksites, acting as Principal Contractor representative, as delegated.


• Implement risk mitigated and safety culture-based construction management processes, controls and systems to ensure consistency across all worksites, work teams and sub-contractors.


• Ensure consistent performance, quality and environmental requirements, standards and codes of practices are met in accordance with scope of work, contractual deliverables and agreed objectives.


• Manage and direct the delivery of construction projects as allocated to ensure construction projects are delivered to agreed objectives and deliverables within the project.


• Manage site interfaces with other adjacent construction works.


• Provide technical and construction methodology advice to stakeholders as to the safest and most cost-effective delivery of the works.


• Execute safety responsibility, authorities and accountabilities consistent with Sydney Trains safety management system requirements which are defined in SMS document number SMS-02-RG-3058.


• Required to work outside of normal hours, night shift, weekends and public holidays.


• Possess current Class \"C\" driving licence.


• Possess RIW card and TfNSW operator role.
