Job summary

ofi (olam food ingredients) seeks a Safety Business Partner for the Carwarp Almond Processing Plant in regional Victoria. You will embed strong SHE practices across operations and support other sites as required, reporting to the Head of Almond Processing Operations.

You will partner with leaders to manage SHE risk, drive continuous improvement and lead incident investigations while building practical, fit-for-purpose systems in a processing environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in Safety, WHS or SHE roles within manufacturing, processing or similar high‑risk environments.
• Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and safety management systems (experience with MYOSH or similar systems preferred).
• Proven experience leading or supporting incident investigations (ICAM or equivalent).
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• A practical, solutions‑focused mindset with a strong safety and sustainability mindset.

Responsibilities

• Partner with leaders to embed effective SHE risk management and continuous improvement across operations.
• Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, environmental regulations and ofi global SHE standards.
• Lead and support incident reporting, investigations and corrective action management.
• Drive safety culture through engagement, coaching, training and leadership development.
• Manage and continuously improve safety management systems, data and reporting.
• Oversee contractor safety management, inductions and compliance.
• Support emergency preparedness, drills and response capability.
• Lead SHE reporting, trend analysis and performance improvement initiatives.
