Job summary

BUMA Australia is seeking a Site Based Health & Safety Advisor for the Blackwater project in Central Queensland. You will support frontline teams, drive safe outcomes, and help implement health and safety systems across the site, reporting to the HSET Superintendent.

The role focuses on risk and hazard management, incident investigations, audits, and safety program delivery, with opportunities to influence safety culture and participate in site initiatives.

Qualifications

• Diploma in WHS/OHS or equivalent is required.
• RIIRIS402 (G2) and Supervisor Competencies (S1–S3) preferred.
• ICAM or equivalent incident investigation qualification highly regarded.
• Rehabilitation/Return to Work competency desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide risk and hazard management guidance to frontline leaders and workers.
• Assist with SHMS implementation and ongoing improvements across the site.
• Participate in audits (CRM, SHMS) and incident investigations.
• Support injury management and return-to-work processes.
• Deliver and support site safety programs and initiatives.
• Serve as a key point of contact for H&S systems and processes.
