Job summary

Preacta Recruitment is seeking a Test Lead for a premium retail client building a new automated National Distribution Centre in Australia. You will own the test strategy across SIT, UAT and end-to-end testing, guiding a small SIT team through integration testing between core retail systems, Blue Yonder WMS, and the robotics platform.

Based in Sydney, you’ll align test phases with vendor delivery dates, manage defects with multiple vendors, and lead go-live readiness alongside warehouse teams on

Qualifications

• 8+ years in testing, including leading testing on a WMS implementation or distribution centre go-live.
• Experience with a Tier 1 WMS such as Blue Yonder (JDA), Manhattan or similar.
• Strong functional understanding of warehouse operations: receiving, putaway, waving, picking, packing, replenishment and dispatch.
• Proven SIT and UAT management across multiple vendors on large transformation programmes.
• Confidence leading a small team and holding the line on quality with senior stakeholders.
• Exposure to warehouse automation, WCS or robotics (AutoStore, Knapp, Dematic, Swisslog or similar) highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Owning the test strategy, test plans and entry and exit criteria across SIT, UAT and end-to-end testing.
• Leading and coaching a small team of SIT Test Analysts, while staying hands-on where needed.
• Running defect triage across the business, the WMS team and an international automation partner.
• Aligning test phases with vendor delivery dates and programme milestones.
• Reporting test progress, quality and risk to programme leadership.
• Leading operational readiness and go-live testing alongside warehouse teams.
