An opportunity has come up with an engineering consulting firm and specifically, within their Signal Processing and Electronics Engineering team. The Senior Signalling Engineering manager is offering a specific signalling and communications engineering intern position. The role involves the management and maintenance of critical safety signalling systems for a variety of projects with authorities including metro rail and Vic Roads. To succeed in this Signalling Engineering Internship, you will need to have excellent problem-solving skills along with a deep interest in digital signal processing, design, testing and engineering project management.

Signalling Engineering Internship Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Principle testing of signalling interlocks, developing simulation data, and carrying out changeover and systems integration tests
  • Providing professional advice on signalling system staging strategies to simplify testing and commissioning
  • Developing and executing principle test plans and test rig designs under the supervision of site signal engineers
  • Prepare and audit test validation documentation and support the creation of systems assurance reports
  • Working on-site with stakeholders such as site engineers and operations managers to verify designs and deliver testing and quality assurance
