Job summary

Blackwoods Signage in Melbourne's Truganina production team is seeking a hands-on Signmaker to join a close-knit, team-first crew. You will manufacture and assemble signage on-site, operate equipment, and support warehouse and dispatch tasks as needed.

You’ll take pride in producing high-quality finished products, follow production drawings, and contribute to continuous improvement and safety practices within a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in signmaking or related manufacturing environments.
• Strong hands-on assembly skills with focus on quality.
• Experience applying reflective, overlaminate or printable films.
• Ability to read production drawings and follow instructions.

Blackwoods Signage, a trusted provider of industrial, safety, and custom signage solutions across Australia, is looking for a team-first Signmaker to join our Truganina production team.

As part of a close-knit and supportive crew, you’ll be hands-on in the production process, operating equipment, manufacturing signage, and assisting with warehouse and dispatch tasks.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys the craft of signage production and takes pride in producing high-quality finished products.

We're looking for someone who values teamwork, communicates openly, contributes ideas for continuous improvement, and isn't afraid to jump in and help when needed.

Responsibilities

• Assembling and manufacturing signage to specifications and quality standards
• Adhere to production schedules and quality standards
• Support pick, pack, and dispatch of customer orders
• Assisting with colour matching, colour profiling, and print quality checks where required
• Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe work environment

Our Ideal Candidate will have

• Experience in signmaking, signage production, fabrication, assembly, manufacturing, printing, or a related environment
• Strong hands-on assembly skills and a focus on producing quality work
• Experience applying reflective, overlaminate, printable films, or similar materials
• The ability to read and follow production drawings, artwork, or work instructions
• Values in line with Blackwoods as an organisation
• Good communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude
