Job summary

Platinum-Blasting-Services is seeking an experienced Shotfirer to join a tight-knit crew in Queensland. This role involves leading blasting operations, mentoring the crew, and maintaining equipment on a 7:7 roster with site-based camp accommodations.

Qualifications

• Current Shotfirer experience, preferably in mining/coal
• Statement of Attainment for blasting (e.g. Support Shotfiring) is required
• QLD Explosives Security Clearance Card or willingness to obtain one
• A valid Shotfirer’s license and Safety/Standard 11 awareness

Responsibilities

• Lead blasting operations to achieve precision outcomes
• Guide and develop the blast crew’s skills
• Maintain and ensure reliability of blasting equipment
• Keep accurate records and manage inventory
• Identify and resolve technical issues before production impact
• Uphold safety, environmental and regulatory standards
