Job summary

Tronox is seeking a Shift Supervisor based at Atlas Mine near Balranald, NSW, on a permanent full-time basis with a 7/7 roster. You will report to the Operations Manager and oversee production planning, safety, environmental compliance, and continuous improvement for the shift.

The role requires strong leadership, planning, and communication skills, with a focus on safety and regulatory compliance, as well as the ability to coordinate with logistics and maintenance teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a mine operating role.
• Experience leading and managing teams.
• Strong planning, analytical, report writing and communication skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate and positively influence a wide range of stakeholders.
• A strong attitude towards safety, environment, and improvement.

Responsibilities

• Delivers real time results by following SIC and WMS standards.
• Makes decisions on schedule-breaking work when the coordinator is not available.
• Liaise with Logistics team to maintain out-of-hours service.
• Manage incidents, emergency response and investigations; participate in RCAs.
• Responsible for regulatory statutory compliance.
• Coordinate and schedule team activities: hiring, training, performance appraisal, discipline, safety and grievances.
• Drive efficient and timely turnaround of production equipment during maintenance.
• Perform tasks to maintain the Atlas infrastructure corridor.
• Follow procedures in the event of an emergency.

About The Role

Tronox is seeking a Shift Supervisor based at our AtlasMinenear Balranald, NSW, about1.5hours east of Mildura on a permanentfull-time basisand 7/7 Roster.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Shift Supervisor is responsible for executing the production plan for the shift by providing technical advice, guidance, and assistance with respect to all safety, environmental, sustainability and compliance matters to support the Tronox Operations.

Responsibilities Include

• Delivers real time results by following the SIC and WMS Standards
• Makes decisions on schedule-breaking work when the coordinator is not available
• Liaise with Logistics team as required to ensure out of hours service is maintained
• Manage incidents, emergency response and investigations within team and participates in significant incident investigations and RCAs
• Responsible for regulatory statutory compliance
• Co-ordination and scheduling of team activities including - final selection, training, performance appraisal, discipline, safety and grievance procedures
• Drives the effective and timely turnaround of production equipment during scheduled maintenance
• Performing tasks to maintain the infrastructure corridor at Atlas
• Follow set procedures in the event of an emergency.
