Job summary

Pathology Queensland is seeking a Shift Scientist to join the TPCH Core Laboratory, working day and evening shifts to deliver a 24/7 multidisciplinary pathology service across Chemical Pathology, CSR, Haematology/Transfusion and Microbiology.

You will verify results, support a client-focused and cost-effective service, and develop knowledge through learning and professional development within a collaborative team at TPCH.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform simple to complex investigations in Chemical Pathology, Haematology/Transfusion and Microbiology.
• Ability to prioritize specimens and work independently toward solutions.
• Proven teamwork and client communication skills.
• Ability to identify, develop and implement quality and service improvements in line with accreditation.

Responsibilities

• Participate in shift rostering and perform investigations across Chemical Pathology, Haematology/Transfusion and Microbiology.
• Verify and validate results.
• Support a client-focused, cost-effective laboratory service.
• Pursue professional development and learning within the team.
