Job summary

SunRice seeks a hands-on Shift Miller / Feed Mill Operator to lead a small team in Cobden and operate a complex feed mill. You will ensure safety, quality, and production targets are met while coordinating with maintenance and operations colleagues.

The role is full-time with a rotating shift pattern (Day/Afternoon/Night). Experience in feed milling or grain handling is highly valued, and Forklift certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in feed milling, grain handling, manufacturing or a similar production environment will be highly regarded.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Leadership or supervisory experience is highly regarded.
• Commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.
• Forklift licence preferred.
• Able to work a rotating shift – Monday to Friday Day, Afternoon and Night Shift.

Responsibilities

• Operating and overseeing feed mill production activities.
• Monitoring plant performance and maximising production efficiency.
• Ensuring products meet quality and feed safety standards.
• Completing production reporting and documentation.
• Leading toolbox meetings and supporting team development.

CopRice is seeking a Shift Miller / Feed Mill Operator to join our team in Cobden. You'll be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the feed mill, ensuring production targets, quality standards and safety requirements are achieved while leading a small team on shift.
