Job summary

Norco Labrador factory is seeking a skilled Shift Maintenance Electrician to join our close-knit maintenance team. You will handle preventative and corrective electrical maintenance in a fast-paced milk production environment and contribute to PLC/VSD/HMI and SCADA control tasks.

This full-time role requires flexibility for night, weekend shift work and overtime, a current QLD Electrical Licence, strong safety mindset, and the ability to work unsupervised in a multi-disciplinary team.

Qualifications

  • Industrial electrical maintenance and installation experience.
  • Diagnostics and fault-finding skills.
  • Pass pre-employment medical including drug/alcohol test.
  • Strong safety and risk management awareness.
  • Understanding of food manufacturing processes and hygiene.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Willingness to shift work, including night and weekends.
  • Current QLD Electrical Licence or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative and corrective electrical maintenance in a food manufacturing setting.
  • Troubleshoot programming/control faults and optimise equipment performance.
  • Assist with mechanical tasks when required.
  • Collaborate with electricians and fitters in a multi-disciplinary team.

Job description

We are currently looking for a highly skilled, enthusiastic, and flexible Shift Maintenance Electrician to join our close-knit maintenance team at our milk manufacturing factory in Labrador.

This is a full time role,reporting into a Maintenance Supervisor,that requires the ability to work a flexible shift roster developed by the team which provides the site with 24 hour and 7 days per week coverage.

Our electricians are responsible for preventative and corrective electrical maintenance and troubleshooting programming/control faults as part of the factory's maintenance team. In this role you will be part of a team of electricians and mechanical fitters and may be required to assist with mechanical work from time to time.

The following skills and experience are required to succeed in this role:
  • Demonstrated skills in industrial electrical installations and maintenance
  • Proven experience in a diagnostics, fault finding and rectification
  • Successful candidate must pass a pre-employment medical, including a Drug & Alcohol test
  • Demonstrable skills and experience in relation to safety including risk management
  • Understanding of food manufacturing processes and hygiene requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multi-faceted team environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work unsupervised
  • Current QLD Electrical Licence or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated effective/natural communication skills
  • Availability for shiftwork (including night, weekend) and overtime
  • Experience with PLC's/VSD's/HMI's, ASi systems and SCADA systems (Ignition)
