Job summary

Guzman y Gomez (GYG) is seeking a Shift Leader in Melbourne to guide a fast-paced team and ensure top-notch service. You will train, coach and inspire crew while maintaining high energy across each shift.

You will champion a customer-first mindset, manage labour and COGS, and ensure accurate deliveries and stock control. Food safety and responsible service certifications are required or pursued as part of ongoing development.

Qualifications

• Leadership or supervisory experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven track record of delivering outstanding customer service.
• Food Safety Supervisor certificate is completed or willingness to complete.

Responsibilities

• Train, lead and inspire crew while keeping energy high on every shift.
• Deliver standout service to customers, new and regular.
• Maintain food safety, cash handling, cleaning and stock control.
• Live and breathe company values, policies and procedures.
• Communicate clearly with restaurant team to stay aligned.
• Manage labour and COGS to drive a profitable store.
• Oversee deliveries to ensure accuracy and match invoices.
