Job summary

Pickers Vinyl and Canvas Pty Ltd – Cairns QLD is seeking a hands-on Construction Labourer to join our installation team. You will support residential and commercial projects throughout Cairns and surrounding regions, installing shade sails, blinds and related structures.

You will undertake excavation, footing preparation and concrete work, using power tools and precise measuring equipment. A strong safety focus, teamwork and reliability are essential for this role.

Qualifications

Must be able to undertake manual labour and heavy lifting.
Good communication skills and team focus.
Follow instructions and work safely at all times.
Construction White Card and Working at Heights required.

Responsibilities

Install shade sails, posts, roof fittings, outdoor blinds and waterproof covers.
Undertake manual and mechanical excavation work.
Prepare and pour concrete footings.
Handle and install steelwork and support structures.
Work safely at heights using ladders and harness systems.
Use power tools, laser levels and measuring equipment.
Record job progress and site information.
Maintain a safe, organised and productive work environment.
