Job summary

AWAHS is seeking a Sexual Health Nurse (Part-Time) to support individuals access to sexual health services in a respectful, culturally safe setting. The role involves clinic and outreach work, health promotion, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

You will provide assessments, testing, treatment and case management, with emphasis on community engagement and education. This fixed-term opportunity runs through to 30 June 2029 in the Albury–Wodonga region.

Responsibilities

About the Role

The role supports individuals in accessingappropriate sexual health services, including guidance, support, and treatment,in a respectful and non-judgemental environment.

There is a strong emphasis on collaborationwith a multidisciplinary team and external services to ensure coordinated,culturally responsive care. The position actively supports patients by buildingtrust, encouraging participation in care, and providing ongoing supporttailored to individual needs. A key component of the role involves healthpromotion and education, empowering clients and the broader community to makeinformed decisions about their health, while fostering greater awareness andsustained engagement with services across both clinic and outreach settings.
