Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital in Melbourne, VIC seeks a sessional Ophthalmology Consultant to join the Acute Ophthalmology and Surgical Ophthalmology services, including operating theatres and the specialist Emergency Department, on a rostered, sessional basis.

Qualifications

About the Role

Sessional Consultant

The successful applicants will have the opportunity to join the Acute Ophthalmology Service, Surgical Ophthalmology Service (outpatient clinics and operating theatres), and our specialist Emergency Department on a sessional basis.

The Ophthalmology Senior Medical Staff are expected to provide effective, efficient and timely patient-centred care and on-call services as rostered. Senior Medical Staff also provide supervision, education and training to Junior Medical Staff, nursing and allied health staff, observers and students. The successful applicants must be eligible for Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists (FRANZCO) , have current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and will be required to undertake a criminal record check and provide evidence of a Working With Children check prior to commencement of employment.
