Job summary

SESLHD - Staff Specialist in Clinical Superintendent at POWH is seeking an experienced clinician to provide clinical and operational leadership for the medical registrar workforce, supporting ECMN basic physician training and safe patient care.

The role collaborates with the Director of Physician Education and Network Director of Physician Training, and may operate across SESLHD facilities to meet training and service requirements approved by leadership.

SESLHD - Staff Specialist - Clinical Superintendent - POWH

The Clinical Superintendent provides clinical and operational leadership for the medical registrar workforce at Prince of Wales Hospital, supporting the delivery of the East Coast Medical Network (ECMN) basic physician training (BPT) program and safe, effective clinical service delivery. The role works in consultation with the local Director of Physician Education (DPE) and Network Director of Physician Training (NDPT) in addition to clinical departments, medical workforce and hospital governance structures to ensure that service and basic training requirements are achieved.

The primary location of this position may be varied as agreed with the Director of Medical Services and as approved by MDAAC to other facilities in SESLHD.
