Job summary

Georgiou is seeking an experienced Serviceperson to join our plant maintenance team, supporting civil construction across the Perth metro area and at our Hazelmere workshop.

You will service and inspect heavy mobile plant, refuel and grease equipment, and help keep a high‑production fleet available. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and teamwork within Georgiou’s maintenance group.

Qualifications

• Previous experience servicing heavy mobile plant and earthmoving equipment.
• Experience with CAT, Komatsu or similar heavy equipment.
• Tyre Fitting qualification or experience highly regarded.
• Current HR driver’s licence.
• Construction White Card.
• Good mechanical aptitude and understanding of mobile plant servicing requirements.
• Certificate II in Automotive Servicing Technology or Cert III in Mechanical Trade preferred.
• Experience with refuelling, greasing, oil & filter changes and routine inspections.
• Ability to identify and report defects and maintenance needs.
• Ability to complete servicing and inspection documentation accurately.
• Strong commitment to safety and high-quality work.
• Ability to work as part of a site maintenance team.
• Physically fit and capable of the role.

Responsibilities

• Undertake daily servicing and inspections of mobile plant and equipment.
• Carry out refuelling and greasing across heavy machinery and vehicles.
• Change oils and filters and assist with scheduled servicing.
• Check fluid and oil levels and identify defects or maintenance needs.
• Assist with minor repairs to mobile plant and equipment.
• Complete daily safety and defect checks with documentation.
• Support servicing of articulated and rigid trucks, scrapers and dozers.
• Complete additional maintenance tasks as directed by Workshop Supervisor.
• Maintain service equipment and work areas to a high standard.
• Work with maintenance and production teams to maximise plant availability.
• Ensure work meets Georgiou safety, quality and compliance requirements.

About The Role

As a Serviceperson, you’ll play an important role in keeping the project’s heavy mobile plant serviced, fuelled and ready for operations.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Undertake daily servicing and inspections of mobile plant and equipment
• Carry out refuelling and greasing across heavy machinery, ancillary equipment and vehicles
• Change oils and filters and assist with scheduled servicing activities
• Check fluid and oil levels and identify defects or maintenance requirements
• Assist with minor repairs to mobile plant and equipment
• Complete daily safety and defect checks and associated documentation
• Support the servicing of equipment including articulated and rigid trucks, scrapers, dozers, excavators, graders and wheel loaders
• Complete additional maintenance tasks as directed by the Workshop Supervisor
• Maintain service equipment and work areas to a high standard
• Work closely with the maintenance and production teams to help maximise plant availability
• Ensure all work is undertaken in accordance with Georgiou’s safety, quality and compliance requirements

Your Skills And Experience

• Previous experience servicing heavy mobile plant and earthmoving equipment
• Experience working with CAT, Komatsu or similar heavy equipment
• Those with a Tyre Fitting qualification and / or experience will be highly regarded
• Current HR driver’s licence
• Construction White Card
• Good mechanical aptitude and understanding of mobile plant servicing requirements
• Certificate II in Automotive Servicing Technology or Cert III in Mechanical Trade Highly preferred
