Job summary

Woolworths Group in Victoria is seeking a Service Technician for the VIC region (Melbourne North East). You will troubleshoot and service refrigeration equipment across stores, performing preventative and corrective maintenance and completing required paperwork.

The role requires current Arctick licence, ESV restricted electrical license in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, and BPC Plumbing registration. You will join a hybrid team with collaboration across facilities, support and construction

Qualifications

• Current Arctick licence and current drivers licence.
• ESV restricted electrical license (Refrigeration & Air Conditioning) and BPC Plumbing registration or license.
• Flexibility to work overtime, travel to various sites and be on call as required.
• Good level of computer literacy.
• Understanding of CO2 systems, Emerson & RDM controls advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Visit stores to perform troubleshooting, identify issues and service refrigeration equipment.
• Deliver preventative and corrective maintenance in line with schedules.
• Complete associated paperwork and reporting.
• Monitor spare parts inventory and recommend capital works to reduce costs.
• Collaborate with facilities, support, technical, and store teams.

What you’ll do

As a Service Technician, you will ensure facilities management services to our customers are at the highest levels and ensure we operate as a Proactive, Responsive and Efficient service model.

Visit various stores to perform troubleshooting, identifying issues and servicing equipment.

Deliver preventative and corrective maintenance works in accordance with planned schedules

Complete associated paperwork and reporting

Monitor replacement spare part inventory and recommend capital works to help reduce operational costs

Work closely with our facilities management, support and technical teams, store teams and our call support centre team

Work closely with construction teams including informing engineers, planning for replacements and assisting in prioritising capital works

What you’ll bring

Current Arctick licence, current drivers licence, ESV restricted electrical license (in class of Refrigeration & Air Conditioning) and BPC Plumbing registration or license

Experience within the commercial refrigeration and air conditioning service and installation industry, with commercial supermarket experience a plus

Flexibility to work overtime, travel to various sites and to be on call as required (a shared roster system)

A good level of computer literacy

An understanding of C02 systems, Emerson & RDM controls advantageous
