Job summary

Woolworths Group is seeking a Service Technician to support stores in the Melbourne North West region. Gain exposure to refrigeration technologies and receive comprehensive training in a permanent full-time role.

The role involves troubleshooting, preventive and corrective maintenance, and close collaboration with facilities, support and store teams. A hybrid working model blends office/hub time with site visits across multiple stores.

Qualifications

• Licence to work on refrigeration and electrical systems is required.
• Experience in commercial refrigeration and air conditioning in supermarkets is a plus.
• Ability to travel to stores and work on-call shifts as part of a hybrid roster.

Responsibilities

• Visit stores to troubleshoot, identify issues and service equipment.
• Deliver preventative and corrective maintenance per schedule.
• Complete paperwork and reporting for service activities.
• Monitor spare parts inventory and suggest capital works to reduce costs.
• Collaborate with facilities, technical teams and store staff; coordinate with engineers.

What you’ll do

As a Service Technician, you will ensure facilities management services to our customers are at the highest levels and ensure we operate as a Proactive, Responsive and Efficient service model.

Visit various stores to perform troubleshooting, identifying issues and servicing equipment.

Deliver preventative and corrective maintenance works in accordance with planned schedules

Complete associated paperwork and reporting

Monitor replacement spare part inventory and recommend capital works to help reduce operational costs

Work closely with our facilities management, support and technical teams, store teams and our call support centre team

Work closely with construction teams including informing engineers, planning for replacements and assisting in prioritising capital works

What you’ll bring

Current Arctick licence, current drivers licence, ESV restricted electrical license (in class of Refrigeration & Air Conditioning) and BPC Plumbing registration or license

Experience within the commercial refrigeration and air conditioning service and installation industry, with commercial supermarket experience a plus

Flexibility to work overtime, travel to various sites and to be on call as required (a shared roster system)

A good level of computer literacy

An understanding of C02 systems, Emerson & RDM controls advantageous
