Job summary

Protyre Autocare is seeking a committed Vehicle Technician to join our growing team. You will service and repair vehicles using up-to-date diagnostic tools and techniques to identify issues accurately.

The role requires an NVQ Level 3 in Automotive and a valid UK driving licence. We offer extensive training, funded IMI courses, staff discounts, and a range of employee benefits within a fast-growing national group.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Automotive.
• Experience with mechanical and fast fit repairs including tyre fitting, brakes, suspension.
• Ability to work in a busy team within a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with diagnostic equipment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure work on each vehicle is carried out safely and to a high standard.
• Carry out fast fit tyre fitting and use alignment machine for readings and adjustments.
• Fit brakes, exhausts, batteries, suspension and other mechanical items.
• Conduct MOT repairs as required.
• Adhere to vehicle inspection procedures.
• Use diagnostic equipment to ensure thorough diagnostics and quality repairs.
• Advise on additional issues and future repair timelines.
• Work safely and comply with health and safety regulations.

About the role:

• Ensure the work completed on each vehicle is carried out safely and to a high standard


• Completing fast fit tyre fitting whilst being able to use an alignment machine and understand the reading and relevant adjustments


• Fitting brakes, exhausts, batteries, suspension and other mechanical products


• Carrying out MOT repairs


• Adherence to company procedures of the vehicle inspection process


• Use relevant diagnostic equipment to ensure diagnostics, testing, and repairs are thorough and to highest quality


• Advise on other issues vehicles display, including common issues vehicles of certain makes and ages develop, and offers timelines for future vehicle repair needs


• Working in a safe manner and always comply with health & safety regulations

About you:

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification related to the Automotive industry


• Experienced with mechanical and fast fit repairs which may include tyre fitting, exhausts, brakes, suspension and general servicing repairs to a wide range of vehicles


• The ability to work as part of a busy team in a fast-paced dynamic environment


• Experience with diagnostic equipment


• Full UK Driving Licence
