Job summary

Regent RV Pty LTD in Geelong, VIC, is seeking an experienced Service Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our Service Centre. You will oversee workshop activities, coach technicians and support staff, and drive productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction.

You will ensure repairs meet OEM and company standards, manage parts stock and costs, and report on KPIs such as labour and parts sales and gross profit. A hands-on leader with strong communication will thrive in this role.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as Service Manager, Workshop Manager or similar.
• RV/ caravan industry experience is highly regarded.
• Strong leadership and team development skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Commercial awareness with KPIs and financial performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the daily operations of the Service Centre.
• Schedule and allocate work across technicians to maximise productivity.
• Lead, coach and develop technicians and support staff.
• Monitor workshop workflow, productivity and job completion.
• Manage customer enquiries, updates, complaints and escalations.
• Ensure customers are informed of repair progress, costs and completion times.
• Conduct quality checks and minimise rework.
• Ensure repairs meet OEM and company quality standards.
• Monitor parts requirements and stock availability to minimise delays.
• Manage departmental costs, revenue and overall profitability.
• Drive KPIs including labour sales, parts sales, productivity, efficiency and gross profit.
• Ensure compliance with WHS and industry requirements.
• Oversee final vehicle preparation and quality prior to delivery.

The Role:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Service Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our Service Centre. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for managing workshop operations, technicians and support staff while driving productivity, quality, customer satisfaction and financial performance. You will play a key role in ensuring every vehicle is completed efficiently, safely and to the highest quality standards.

• Ensure compliance with workplace health, safety and industry requirements
• Oversee final vehicle preparation and quality prior to customer delivery

You will need to demonstrate:

• Previous experience as a Service Manager, Workshop Manager or similar
• Caravan, RV, automotive or related industry experience highly regarded
• Strong leadership, coaching and team development skills
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Strong planning, scheduling and organisational capabilityCommercial awareness with experience managing KPIs and financial performance
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Good computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
• Caravan towing experience highly regarded
