Job summary

Komatsu Australia in Mudgee NSW is seeking a Service Lead to own the day-to-day service operation, guiding a team of about 15 technicians and staff. The role focuses on relationships with customers, developing the team, and driving safety and productivity.

You’ll lead initiatives to maintain high service levels, work to improve utilisation and performance, and contribute to a zero-harm culture. Relocation support may be considered; attractive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in mechanical or electrical discipline.
• Experience leading a technical or trades-based team.
• Experience in workshop, field service or fleet environments.
• Strong communication and coaching abilities.

Our Mudgee branch is looking for a Service Lead to take ownership of the day-to-day service operation and provide leadership, direction and support to a team of approximately 15 technicians and support staff.

This role is about more than managing the workflow. You’ll build strong relationships with customers, support and develop your team, drive safety and productivity, and help ensure the service operation continues to perform at a high level.

What we are looking for:

• Mechanical or Electrical Trade Qualification
• Previous experience leading, supervising or coordinating a technical or trades-based team
• Experience in a workshop, field service, fleet or similar operational environment
• Strong communication skills and the ability to coach and develop others
• Understanding of WIP, productivity, utilisation and service performance
• Customer-focused approach with strong organisational skills
• Commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement

We're open to backgrounds beyond traditional mining and construction equipment. Your trade and leadership experience could come from light automotive, agriculture, trucks and trailers, road transport, heavy vehicle or other technical service environments.
