Job summary

CrowdStrike is hiring for an SSP engineer to work on Falcon sensor detections and response capabilities. You will gain deep knowledge of the Falcon Sensor core logic and collaborate with multiple teams to build robust, scalable security features across endpoints and cloud integrations.

The role requires strong system design skills, experience with C++ and scripting in Python or in-house languages, and a track record of shipping reliable security software.

Qualifications

• Take responsibility for and ownership of their work.
• Design and implement performant, functionally-correct and well-structured logic.
• Can understand, maintain, and improve a large existing codebase.
• Can reason about, describe and communicate the nature of complex, highly-concurrent systems.
• Can reason about how our endpoint interacts with our cloud, and communicate with cloud development teams for both design and troubleshooting.
• Ability to read and write C++.

Responsibilities

• Understand, modify and assume shared ownership of complex and critical sensor detections and response capabilities.
• Gain expertise in core logic of the falcon sensor, becoming a resource for other developers within CrowdStrike who use our technologies.
• Communicate design, constraints, guarantees and other aspects of the system.
• Collaborate with other teams at CrowdStrike including engineering, adversary response, malware researchers, product/manager teams.
• Write code in a variety of languages, including in-house DSLs and system programming across macOS, Linux, Windows.
• Write unit, functional and integration tests.
• Diagnose and resolve issues discovered by customers or other engineering teams
