Job summary

Carinity Education – Gladstone is seeking a passionate Senior Youth Worker – Learning Support to lead our Youth Worker team and support vulnerable students toward positive educational outcomes. You will champion trauma-informed practices, build strong relationships with students, families and multidisciplinary teams, and provide guidance, supervision and mentoring to staff in a dynamic educational setting.

Qualifications

• Diploma of Youth Work or related discipline.
• Experience supporting vulnerable or marginalized young people.
• Knowledge of co-regulation practices and trauma-informed approaches to behaviour support.
• Experience leading and mentoring Youth Workers in complex environments.
• Maintain accurate case notes, records and reports for case management and outcomes.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication with students, families and teams.
• Working with Children Check (Blue Card) and LR bus licence or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise and mentor Youth Workers in a dynamic educational setting.
• Champion best-practice youth work and empower students to overcome barriers.
• Provide guidance, support and supervision to the Youth Worker team.
• Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment and build trusting relationships.
• Contribute to meaningful student outcomes through collaborative approaches.
