Job summary

Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation is seeking a Senior People Advisor, Workplace Relations to lead impartial workplace investigations and provide expert HR advice to leaders across CSIRO.

You’ll manage end-to-end case work, assess complex people matters, and guide stakeholders through fair processes in line with policies and employment laws. Hybrid work arrangement across major Australian locations is available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
• Specialised workplace investigation qualifications.
• 5+ years’ experience conducting workplace investigations.
• Ability to research, interpret and apply legislation and policies.
• Strong judgement, independence and risk management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead impartial workplace investigations into misconduct and complex matters.
• Collaborate with People Partnering, Industrial Relations and other stakeholders.
• Prepare clear, concise advice for senior management with recommendations.
• Assess resolution pathways for complex matters with the Case Management Manager.
• Administer, track and report cases with confidential communication.
