Responsibilities
  • Provide advice to key stakeholders on employee relations and legislative matters, including disputes, contractual issues and terminations, to achieve TMCA objectives and minimise risk exposure and liabilities.
  • Support workplace investigations to ensure procedural compliance and minimise the risk of a case progressing to a formal claim.
  • Manage all claims (outstanding and new) and prepare relevant documentation to mitigate claims and protect the TMCA brand.
  • Implement and review workplace policies and procedures consistent with best practice and TMCA values based on legislative changes to ensure TMCA remains compliant with relevant regulations and statutory requirements.
  • Provide advice on employment-related legislation and assist the HR team in developing policies and standards.
  • Work closely with relevant stakeholders to achieve compliance with legislation and internal policies and processes.
  • Undertake project-based work to assist the HRBP team in developing TMCA initiatives to enhance employee engagement.
  • Provide advice on and assist with TMCA's enterprise agreements, including negotiations, drafting and submission to the FWC.
Qualifications and attributes
  • Degree qualification in law with focus on employment law and/or industrial relations.
