Job summary

Maryborough District Health Service is seeking a Senior Workforce Business Partner to act as a trusted advisor within People and Capability, shaping positive workplace experiences across our health service.

You will provide consultancy on people matters, lead core P&C processes, advise on change management, and support unions and external stakeholders, contributing to sector-wide projects with health partners in Victoria.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree as described above.
• Positive track record delivering people management advice in complex environments.
• Experience liaising with external stakeholders such as Unions and employee associations.
• Sound understanding of contemporary HR practices in the public sector.

Responsibilities

• Provide contemporary consultancy on a range of People matters including performance management, conflict resolution and talent retention.
• Lead P&C processes including recruitment, classification evaluation, redeployment and analytics.
• Advise on change management processes across business areas.
• Develop positive relationships with unions and public sector organisations.
• Contribute to sector-wide projects with stakeholders across Victoria.

Your Responsibilities include:

• Provision of contemporary best-in-class consultancy service on a range of People matters including performance management, conflict resolution and talent retention.
• Undertake a key role in leading P&C processes, including resource requests, recruitment and selection, classification evaluation, redeployment and P&C analytics to provide evidence-based reporting.
• Advice and support to business areas on change management processes.
• Develop and maintaining a positive relationship with unions, industry associations and state-based public sector organisations as required.
• Contribute to sector-wide projects, including working collaboratively with stakeholders at other public hospitals across Victoria.

You will bring the following:

• Undergraduate Degree in Business, Management, Psychology or Law ideally with major in Human Resource Management or demonstrated significant experience in a People and Culture business partnering role.
• Positive record of success in delivering people management advice in complex environments (health services preferred, not essential).
• Previous experience liaising with external stakeholders such as Unions and other employee associations and representatives.
• A sound understanding of contemporary HR practices and approaches, people and culture procedures and their application with the Victorian Public Sector.
