Job summary

Cognizant seeks a Functional Architect – Workday Student (Australian Higher Education) to lead student administration engagements across Australian and New Zealand universities. The role requires deep higher education experience and hands-on Workday Student knowledge to connect platform capability with university operations.

The successful candidate will act as the billable functional leader on Workday Student implementations, shaping end-to-end lifecycle design and ensuring regulatory

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
Current Workday Student certification, or demonstrated capability to achieve certification.

Responsibilities

Lead the functional architecture for Workday Student programs from discovery through deployment and stabilisation.
Own end-to-end student lifecycle design (admissions, records, curriculum, advising, progression, financials, graduation).
Ensure localised solutions are fit for purpose and compliant with ANZ regulations (TCSI, TEQSA, ESOS/CRICOS, PRISMS, etc.).
Translate institutional strategy into clear solution principles and roadmaps.
Facilitate cross-functional design forums and guide stakeholders through complex decisions.
