Job summary

Sigma Healthcare is seeking a qualified WHS professional to provide specialist WHS advice and support across our multi-site business, including Chemist Warehouse brands. Reporting to the WHS Manager, you’ll lead policy implementation, incident investigations and compliance initiatives while collaborating with store, distribution, and support office teams.

You’ll manage WHS projects, conduct site visits, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts in a fast-paced retail environment.

Join a collaborative WHS team that works closely with WorkCover, HR, stores, distribution centres and support office teams across the business. You’ll work alongside experienced WHS professionals to promote a strong safety culture, provide practical support and drive continuous improvement across a diverse, multi-site environment.

About the role

Reporting to the WHS Manager, you’ll provide specialist WHS advice, guidance and support to leaders and team members across the business. You’ll play a key role in implementing and continuously improving WHS policies, procedures, systems and initiatives, while ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and business requirements. The role will also involve managing WHS projects, conducting site visits and inspections, supporting incident investigations, and overseeing reporting and compliance activities.

Role responsibilities

You’ll provide practical WHS advice, training and consultation across stores, distribution centres and support office, while supporting incident investigations, site inspections, audits and compliance activities. You’ll contribute to the development and maintenance of WHS policies, procedures, reports, training materials and safety initiatives, as well as monitor WHS and WorkCover reporting, systems and statistics to identify opportunities for improvement. You’ll also support and coach the WHS team and build strong relationships with leaders and stakeholders across the business.

Who are we looking for?

We’re looking for a qualified WHS professional with a minimum Cert IV in WHS and 5+ years’ practical WHS/OHS experience. You’ll have a strong understanding of WHS and WorkCover legislation, with the ability to interpret requirements and apply them in a practical business environment. You’ll be an organised, adaptable and confident communicator who can manage competing priorities, build strong stakeholder relationships and influence positive safety outcomes. Previous experience working within a multi-site retail environment would be highly regarded.
