Job summary

CareCone Group is seeking a seasoned integration developer in Melbourne to design, implement, and maintain enterprise integrations using webMethods. You will deliver REST/SOAP APIs, B2B/EDI flows, and messaging patterns, while ensuring robust testing, deployment, and production readiness.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in integration development, including 5+ years hands-on with webMethods tools.
• Proven end-to-end delivery of integrations, not just support.
• Strong experience with REST and SOAP APIs, JSON, XML/XSLT, and data formats like flat files.
• Messaging experience with Universal Messaging or Broker; pub/sub and guaranteed delivery.
• Experience with webMethods API Gateway or API Portal.
• Deployment and DevOps with Deployer, Git, and CI/CD.
• Solid in error handling, logging, monitoring, and production tuning.
• Clear communication with business and tech stakeholders.
• Experience in an integration platform migration and retail/e-commerce integration is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Translate requirements into integration designs: specs, mappings, error handling; address non-functional aspects.
• Apply integration patterns (API-led, event-driven, pub/sub, batch) and reuse existing services.
• Create design docs and participate in architecture/design reviews.
• Develop flow and Java services, adapters, triggers, and APIs in webMethods.
• Build and maintain REST/SOAP APIs and B2B/EDI flows; work with Universal Messaging/Broker.
• Write tests; support SIT, UAT, and production cutover.
• Package and deploy with Deployer and CI/CD across environments.
• Provide L3 support: triage incidents, fix defects, tune performance.
• Improve monitoring, logging, alerting, and reduce tech debt.
• Document and inventory existing integrations and dependencies.
• Collaborate with product owners, vendors, and QA.
