Job summary

Cummins Inc. is seeking a logistics/forklift-ready operator to support receiving, storage, and dispatch in a factory setting. You will handle incoming goods, verify against invoices, and ensure accurate labeling and storage to optimize space.

Forklift operation certification is required. Under supervision, you will execute defined procedures, perform routine quality checks, and collaborate with teams to maintain equipment and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification to operate powered industrial vehicles and/or other heavy machinery is required.
• Licensing may be required for export controls or sanctions regulations.

Responsibilities

• Stop work and report major injury hazards. Follow HSE standards and use PPE.
• Comply with HSE policies and regulations; perform quality checks for damage and discrepancies.
• Promote teamwork and interdepartmental collaboration.
• Identify hazards and minimize environmental impact within your control.
• Engage in HSE training.
• Follow standard work and quality procedures; perform quality checks.
• Raise issues to minimize cost and quality exposures; identify non-conforming material.
• Receive, sort, label, and store goods; dispatch according to requests.
• Operate forklifts and warehouse equipment to pick/pack/ship per customer expectations.
• Maintain competency and meet cycle times or engineering standards.
• Communicate effectively with team and support colleagues.
• Complete training and contribute to process improvements.
• Maintain clean and orderly work area; perform routine housekeeping and maintenance tasks.
• Remain flexible and perform other duties to meet business goals.
