Australia Post is seeking a Senior Walking Postal Delivery Officer to join our field operations in Sydney. You will operate and deliver across multiple rounds using motorcycles, 3-Wheeled EVs, or on foot, starting early and prioritising safety and customer service.

You will work with Rider Mentors, complete vehicle safety checks, load deliveries, and adapt to weather. A full or probationary motorcycle licence is required, and flexibility for extra hours is valued.

As a Senior Postie, you’ll hit the ground running and be operating and delivering on multiple vehicles including our 3-Wheeled Electric Delivery Vehicles, Motorcycle or delivering on foot utilising a backpack or wheeled trolley.

You'll be

• Starting your day early in the morning sorting both mail and small parcels.
• Responsible to cover and deliver to multiple rounds within a territory and no two days are alike!
• Completing your own daily vehicle safety check.
• Loading your vehicle with your deliveries for the day.
• Delivering outdoors inall types of weather to deliver to homes and businesses.
• Paired up with our experienced Rider Mentors, who are committed to engage and take part in your professional development.

About you

• You hold a full or probationary motorcycle licence.
• Experience and/or knowledge working within the courier/delivery industry is advantageous but not mandatory.
• You’re resilient and able to adapt to high volume and pressure.
• You’re flexible with working additional hours if required.
• You’ll successfully pass our mandatory and practical riding assessment.
• You have a great memory, excellent attention to detail and can lift up to 16kgs of Mail and Parcels regularly.
• You’ll need to meet our safe working load limit of weighing 100kgs or less.
