Job summary

Diageo Australia is seeking an experienced Utilities & Hard Services Engineer to ensure safe, reliable operation of utilities across the Huntingwood manufacturing site and to support the Sydney HQ. You will own asset strategy, lead capital projects and drive sustainability programs, working with Operations, Asset Care, Facilities and external partners.

The role requires 5+ years in utilities or industrial infra, strong technical knowledge of refrigeration, boilers, HVAC and related systems, and

Qualifications

5+ years in utilities, hard services or industrial infrastructure (beverage/FMCG preferred).
Experience with refrigeration, boilers/steam, pressure equipment, compressed air, water, fire and HVAC systems.
Contractor and supplier management experience.
Regulatory compliance and asset risk oversight.
Knowledge of trade waste systems and environmental compliance.
Strong analytics translating data into business actions.
Experience in 24/7 manufacturing environments is a plus.
SAP, Power BI and capital project delivery experience desirable.

Responsibilities

Own the safe, reliable, compliant, and cost‑effective operation of utilities and hard services at the Huntingwood site and defined Sydney HQ scope.
Develop the long‑term utilities and infrastructure strategy, asset lifecycle planning, reliability improvement, risk management, compliance, sustainability initiatives, and capital investment prioritisation.
Ensure compliance with regulatory, environmental, and Diageo standards, including hazardous areas, fire protection, ammonia refrigeration, pressure equipment, electrical safety and trade waste.
Lead utilities performance monitoring, forecasting, reporting, and continuous improvement using data and asset health insights.
Deliver utilities and hard‑services capital projects from concept through commissioning and handover.
Drive energy, water and sustainability improvement programs aligned with Diageo's objectives.
Provide technical leadership and governance across utilities systems, contractors, suppliers and service providers.
Collaborate with Operations, Asset Care, Facilities, OT & Automation and external partners to resolve issues and enable continuity.
