Job summary

GHD seeks a Planner / Senior Planner to join the WA Environment Business Group. You will deliver a broad range of planning projects for government and private clients across Western Australia, growing the portfolio through council precinct, structure planning and local planning scheme work.

You will work with a small, energetic team on large multi-disciplinary initiatives across five markets and contribute to the state’s energy transition while providing development advice, coordinating

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Urban and Regional Planning or related discipline.
• Demonstrated statutory and strategic planning experience.
• The ability to lead own workload and time.
• Competence in the Microsoft Office suite (preferred).
• Skills in qualitative analysis.
• Project management skills.
• Report writing and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in both Government and Consultancy highly valued.
• Stronge interpersonal and verbal communication skills with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain respectful relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Grow portfolio of metropolitan and regional council precinct and centre planning, structure planning and local planning scheme work.
• Deliver WA’s largest multi-disciplinary projects in collaboration with leads across five markets: energy & resources, environment, property & building, transport and water.
• Work in the future energy space supporting the State’s transition to renewables (wind, solar, hydrogen, biofuels).
• Provide land use and development capability advice, coordinate technical disciplines, manage project scope and costings.
• Develop client relationships by building trust, providing quality advice and managing expectations.
