Impact Talent is recruiting for an Underwriter or Senior Underwriter to join a growing team within the insurance sector in Melbourne. The role involves assessing commercial risks, underwriting in line with guidelines, and negotiating terms with brokers.

With 2–4+ years of underwriting experience, you’ll contribute to portfolio growth in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment. Hybrid working arrangements and central location are offered.

Qualifications

• 2–4+ years' underwriting experience, depending on level.
• Strong technical knowledge of risk assessment, policy wordings and terms and conditions.
• Confident communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsabilités

• Assess and underwrite commercial risks in line with underwriting guidelines and appetite.
• Review submissions, assess exposures and negotiate appropriate terms and conditions.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers through phone and face-to-face engagement.
• Manage referrals, renewals and new business opportunities.
• Contribute to portfolio growth and continuous improvement.
