Your new company in Sydney, Australia is seeking a senior treasury accounting professional to own complex treasury accounting and financial reporting within a major financial services environment.

You will lead end-to-end accounting for derivatives and treasury transactions, review month-end processes, and prepare group reporting submissions while providing technical accounting guidance on new products and funding arrangements.

Competenze

• CA or CPA qualification is required.
• 7+ years in financial services, treasury or Big 4/large firm.
• Strong treasury accounting and complex financial reporting experience.
• In-depth knowledge of AASB 9 and AASB 7.
• Experience preparing technical accounting papers and group reporting disclosures.
• Proven ability to manage audits and respond to complex queries.
• Experience with SOX controls is advantageous.
• Proficiency in Excel and data interpretation for large datasets.

Mansioni

• Lead end-to-end accounting for derivatives, borrowings and treasury transactions.
• Review month-end journals, reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Prepare Group reporting submissions and treasury disclosures.
• Provide technical accounting guidance on new products and funding arrangements.
• Prepare technical papers and ensure compliance with AASB/IFRS and policies.
• Act as senior contact for external auditors and address audit queries.
• Oversee SOX controls and assist remediation of deficiencies.
• Drive process improvement, automation and data quality initiatives.
• Mentor and coach finance team members; review work and provide guidance.
• Support planning, prioritisation and escalation of key accounting matters.
