Job description

We’re seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to step into a hands-on Treasury role, managing treasury accounting, reconciliations, clearing accounts, Jsox and Audit, management reporting, liquidity and financial risk and supporting strategic decision making. Reporting to the National Manager, Treasury, you’ll work across Treasury and Finance teams to ensure the business has the stability and flexibility to deliver on its growth plans.

About the Role

In this pivotal technical role, you will:

  • Treasury accounting: Handle and Manage all treasury accounting aspects including bank reconciliations, clearing accounts, sign off balance sheet clearing accounts, loan and borrowings reconciliations, cost of funds accounting, hedge accounting and finalization with accounting team
  • Budgeting, Forecasting, treasury reporting & analysis: Provide clear insights on funding plan, estimates of cost of funds, periodical treasury reporting and financial risk to senior management.
  • Audit, Jsox, compliance & governance: Maintain alignment with internal policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements. Manage all internal, external audits and Jsox. Ensure compliance and timely closure.
  • Manage cash & liquidity: Oversee daily cash flow, forecasting, and funding requirements.
  • Support bank and debt management: Build relationships with banks and lenders, manage debt facilities, and optimise costs.
  • Drive process improvement & automation: Streamline treasury workflows, implement best-practice systems and strengthen controls.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally: Partner with Finance, Accounting, and business units to optimise working capital.
About you

You’ll thrive in this role if you have:

  • Strong interest in building a Treasury career.
  • Working experience in financial services, banking sector
  • Experience in Financial or Management Accounting; Treasury experience a plus
  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance, CA or CPA
  • Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills; SAP experience a bonus
  • Experience leading teams or project (preferred)
  • Solid understanding of finance operations and reporting
  • Passion for continuous improvement, technology, and automation
  • Confident communication and collaboration with stakeholders at all levels
  • Solutions-focused mindset and curiosity to make a tangible impact
