Job summary

Queensland Government is seeking a Principal Advisor Modeller to lead the development and enhancement of strategic transport demand models for the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games. You will shape the modelling framework for route network planning, spectator demand and regional impacts, working with cross-disciplinary teams.

The role requires deep transport modelling expertise, GIS skills, and experience with ETL/BI tools.

Qualifications

• Experience in transport modelling, data science, planning or related fields.
• Proficiency with transport modelling software (EMME or Aimsun) and GIS tools (ArcGIS, QGIS).
• Familiarity with ETL, BI/visualisation tools, programming languages or cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and continuous improvement of the strategic transport demand models for Brisbane 2032.
• Refine model outputs to support Games strategy, GRN planning and capacity analysis.
• Provide expert modelling advice and assurance, incorporating peer feedback.
