Job summary

Brimbank City Council is seeking a Transformation Projects Lead to oversee major city-wide projects from concept to delivery. You will act as Project Owner Representative, chair governance groups, and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams to deliver civic improvements, arts facilities, and community spaces.

Strong governance, stakeholder management, and communication skills are essential, along with tertiary qualifications and local government experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Local government experience is desirable.

• Extensive experience in project management of complex projects.
• Ability to manage projects in an intricate governance environment.
• Professional tertiary qualifications in related field.
• Experience in design, documentation and implementation of major projects.
• Communication, graphic presentation and report writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Project Owner Representative and Project Control Group Chair for major transformation projects.
• Provide leadership across cross-functional teams in a complex program environment.
• Navigate governance with multiple sponsor groups and prepare regular project reports.
• Coordinate cross-functional working groups across design and delivery phases.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams, directing discipline leads to timely, on-budget delivery.
• Collaborate with support departments to protect and deliver Council interests.
