Job summary

Planned Resources in Ballarat is seeking an experienced Senior Town Planner to lead projects from start to finish, taking ownership of diverse planning files, managing client relationships and delivering practical, commercially focused advice.

You’ll work three days onsite per week with a collaborative team, preparing planning reports and supporting documentation, liaising with Councils and stakeholders, and guiding applications through approval while developing your career in a growing

Qualifications

• Significant experience working within the Victorian planning system.
• Strong technical knowledge and ability to assess and manage planning matters.
• Experience managing projects from start to finish.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

We’re working with a growing planning consultancy based in Ballarat who are looking to add an experienced Senior Town Planner to their team. This is an opportunity for a planner who is confident in their technical abilities, enjoys taking ownership of projects and has the communication skills to build and maintain strong client relationships. You’ll be working across a varied portfolio of planning matters, providing practical and commercially focused advice while managing projects from application through to outcome.

The Opportunity

As a Senior Planner, you’ll play an important role within the team, taking responsibility for your own projects and working closely with clients, consultants and stakeholders. Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing a diverse range of planning applications and projects.
• Providing high-quality technical planning advice.
• Preparing and reviewing planning reports, applications and supporting documentation.
• Liaising with Councils, clients, consultants and other key stakeholders.
• Managing projects through the planning and approval process.
• Building and maintaining strong, long-term client relationships.
• Identifying planning opportunities and providing practical solutions to complex matters.
• Supporting and contributing to the wider team and business as required.

About You

We’re looking for someone who brings a strong combination of technical planning capability, commercial awareness and relationship management skills. You’ll ideally have:
