Job summary

ASIC’s Cyber Security Threat Operations team seeks a Senior Engineer to lead threat detection, incident response and threat hunting. You will mentor peers, investigate complex threats and drive automation and intelligence-led defense across monitoring platforms, including Microsoft Sentinel and Defender.

You will apply defensive AI responsibly, collaborate with diverse teams, and advance our security posture through proactive threat hunting and rapid containment during incidents.

Qualifications

• Degree in cyber security or related field or equivalent experience.
• Senior Threat Operations, Incident Response or Threat Hunting background.
• Expertise with Microsoft security technologies and telemetry.
• Experience applying cyber threat intelligence to detections and investigations.
• Strong automation scripting and API know-how; AI familiarity preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimise and maintain threat detections, analytics and playbooks across monitoring platforms.
• Analyse telemetry to detect adversary behaviours and indicators of compromise.
• Lead complex cyber investigations and guide containment, response and recovery.
• Operationalise threat intelligence to strengthen detections and hunting.
• Advance security automation using Logic Apps, scripting and APIs.
