Responsibilities

• Lead technical solution, design and implementation of Technology Solutions activities and outcomes across QCS by contributing to the solution designs, maintenance as per the QCS Solution Architecture Framework.
• Adhere to the framework to define and describe common solution components, patterns and practices for QCS' offender information systems
• Determine and advise on appropriate software development lifecycle and project management methodologies, approaches and behaviours to complement the approved solution design
• Provide advisory services to QCS business units and project teams in regard to ICT solutions to improve the return on ICT investments
• Maintain an awareness of emerging technologies and provide expert advice and services on how to use these technologies to meet business needs
• Review and interpret detailed business requirements to produce solution design artefacts which meet strategic and operational business needs and align with QCS' enterprise architecture
• Contribute towards applying the Queensland Government Enterprise Architecture Framework into QCS solution architectures and patterns
• Review proposals and advise senior executives, project teams and business units regarding offender information systems implementations and enhancements
• Contribute the QCS ICT strategies and enterprise architecture artefacts
• Provide content for, and manage solution architecture software and tools
