Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Technical Officer - Civil Infrastructure to contribute to the design and documentation of civil infrastructure projects in Western Australia, focusing on land development, earthworks, roads, drainage and utilities. Strong CAD skills and civil design modelling experience are essential.

Based in Perth, WA, this on-site role sits within the Water business line. You will work with multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated, high-quality drawings and models for client

Qualifications

  • Approximately 5 to 15 years of relevant civil design and drafting experience.
  • Strong proficiency in 12d Model and AutoCAD.
  • Experience preparing civil design models, drawings and documentation packages.
  • Demonstrated experience in land development, bulk earthworks and utilities design.
  • A sound understanding of civil construction practices and drawing standards.
  • The ability to work independently while contributing effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • An Associate Degree in Civil Engineering, a Civil Engineering Design qualification, or an equivalent technical qualification is desirable.
  • Experience using MicroStation will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the design and documentation of civil infrastructure projects with a focus on land development and site civil works.
  • Develop bulk earthworks and site grading plans and road/pavement layouts.
  • Design stormwater, sewer, water and other utility infrastructure.
  • Produce design documentation, drawings and digital models.
  • Coordinate civil designs with other disciplines and existing services.
  • Support quantity take-offs, design reviews and construction-phase queries.

How you’ll make a difference

You will contribute to the design and documentation of civil infrastructure projects, with a focus on:

  • Land development and site civil works
  • Bulk earthworks and site grading
  • Road and pavement layouts
  • Stormwater, sewer, water and other utility infrastructure
  • Design documentation, drawings and digital models
  • Coordination of civil designs with other disciplines and existing services
  • Supporting quantity take-offs, design reviews and construction-phase queries
