Job summary

Quality People urgently requires a Senior Technical Integration Business Analyst for a 6-9 month engagement in Darwin. The role involves leading business and technical discovery of a legacy system, reverse-engineering data flows, tracing interfaces, and documenting business rules where documentation is lacking.

You will evaluate current-state findings to develop future-state strategies, roadmaps, and continuity plans while ensuring knowledge transfer to the departmental team.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in technical and integration analysis, eliciting business rules, data dependencies, and interface controls in legacy environments.
• Ability to assess operational risks and develop business continuity and recovery plans.
• Strong understanding of financial and general ledger systems, including Chart of Accounts and end-of-financial-year processes.
• Experience in government/public sector operations, MoG changes, audit/security standards, privacy, records management, and procurement compliance.

You will be responsible for reverse-engineering complex data flows, tracing interfaces, and documenting business rules where documentation is currently incomplete or unavailable. The successful candidate will evaluate current-state findings to develop future-state strategies, roadmaps, and business continuity plans while ensuring knowledge transfer back to the departmental team.

Skills and Experience Required includes:

• Proven track record in technical and integration analysis, eliciting business rules, data dependencies, and interface controls within poorly documented or unsupported legacy environments.
• Ability to assess operational risks and develop business continuity and recovery plans.
• Strong understanding of financial and general ledger systems, including Chart of Accounts and end-of-financial-year processes.
• Demonstrated experience in government or public sector operations, specifically Machinery of Government (MoG) changes, government audit/security standards, privacy, records management, and procurement compliance.
